Venezuela is a large and low densely populated country with great biodiversity and endemic species, ranking among the highest in terms of species of plants and animals, and most of its surface is covered by forests. There are indigenous communities in Venezuela who still maintain their traditional land management techniques, which represents a very interesting field of study. Like most countries in the Amazonian, Venezuela struggles with deforestation, mainly because of selective wood harvesting, and wood harvesting for fuel and fires. The LMTs assed in Venezuela are fire management, forest management, agroforestry and reforestation.
