Introduction: Integrated soil fertility management (ISFM), Kenya
We will explore the long-term, large-scale potential (and limitations) of Integrated Soil Fertility Management (ISFM) to mitigate soil GHG emissions, whilst maintaining economically viable crop production. Integrated Soil Fertility Management (ISFM) can mitigate emissions through the improved soil carbon storage and reduced soil N2O emissions.
The case study will complement ecosystem, land use and economic modelling research with stakeholder engagement activities, which will be implemented in the 2021-2024 period.
